Anybody remotely connected to the West Coast always remembers to take pictures of the WAVES. Especially the beach that has the "You just missed it, dude" signs.

I think there's a real good reason you don't see a lot of ME guys showing up at the various surfing tournaments. Never been there, but neither have I seen a Billabong ad featuring anyone carving up a Mediterranean tube. But considering the amazing beauties of that region, don't think anyone minds the flat water while they are hanging at the beach.

Uh, actually there is a surfing beach to the left of the breakwater. It's small and inconsistent but rideable. Plus some of the best suring in the Med are in Israel and Italy. But you had to be there.

Tel Aviv is under seige by hordes of pissants who do not have the capacity to cause real damage. Part of the reason the horde of pissants don't have the capacity is that they have decided to be righteous instead of successful. If they had decided to be successful, they would be in business with Israel instead of at war with them. The worst theif of Arab wealth and dignity is Arab nationalism and Islamism.

The war doesn't hit Tel Aviv because the attackers do not have the coordination and cooperation to achieve great things, only the ability to cause small harms. Instead of respecting their most capable, the enemies of Israel venerate their most fanatic. The results of this behavior have been disappointingly shallow. We must not let these people get nuclear weapons because they are so stupid as to confuse a large flash and generations of toxic debris for accomplishment.

This idea has been floating around in the back of my head for some time, but I had failed to express it so succinctly.

We must not let these people get nuclear weapons because they are so stupid as to confuse a large flash and generations of toxic debris for accomplishment.

Too late, Pakistan already has 'em and spent years busily proliferating to everyone who could pay. It's just a matter of time before the things become downright common, both in the middle east and elsewhere.

Getting that genie back in the bottle would involve killing a hell of a lot of people, and I don't think we have the stomach for it.

Pakistan is troubled and rife with corruption, but they are not pretending to be a unified tribe with a destiny to take over the world. Mecca is not and never will be in Pakistani. Pakistan is also industrial and capable of actually creating things. None of these things is true of the primary enemies of Israel.
