Thank You

I’m still working on my first piece from Israel. Before I finish and post it I want to publicly thank Allison Kaplan Sommer and Lisa Goldman in Tel Aviv for helping me out more than any reasonable person could have expected – especially considering that neither had ever met me. Both welcomed me to the country in person, helped me meet other people, set me up with fixers, and even made hotel reservations for me.

I also want to say thank you so much to everyone who donates travel expenses via Pay Pal. It has been decided: If the mullahs let me in, I am going to Iran as quickly as possible.

I love RSS! Thanks, Michael. I'll be awaiting your posts with eager anticipation. We'll keep the money coming, as long as you continue to give us what we cannot find elsewhere. Please take care, and our prayers will be to keep you safe.

Ah, 'twas nothing. ;) I loved meeting you - we had some great conversations, and I really enjoyed our trip up north together. (which I'll blog about, after you've written about your impressions).

......Thinking - 'there is always some idiot exception that Al Jazeera is going to prop up to blame Israel.......

Well, silly me how I was wrong. Al Jazeera is of course only playing to its audience's core beliefs and pyschoses.

Exactly WHO are you referring to?

The news broke into the Israeli television programming on the eve of Holocaust Memorial Day. From the depressing to the upsetting.

Israel is offering medical assistance to the Egyptian Red Crescent organization -- the Eilat hospital is very close to the areas, the ambulances are ready, but so far, the television anchors are saying the Egyptians aren't interested.....

Fox News says it was aimed at Coptic Christians who were in Dahab celebrating something.

Well, it was very important that if you were taking the trouble to come, that you do it right...Glad you enjoyed, and I'm looking forward to reading your fresh take on the place I've been living for 13 years!

Michael -- get this right away, if you haven't already:

Alas, I already gave mine to a friend with a Persian boyfriend, but I got good use out of them for Afghanistan. Persian is MUCH easier than Arabic (and even easier if you already know some Arabic--nice how that works for you, neh?)

Michael, I contributed some "no problem" funds and will continue to do so unless you change into a pundit.
A while back I used to read and contribute to Michael Yon. His no non sense, "the good, the bad and the ugly" type of reporting kept my interest. He then returned stateside and became famous. I guess he had decided that he needs to not only report but pontificate, analyze and explain to us poor plebes what we should be thinking. No thanks, I can get an overdosage of pontification from msnbc. Be a reporter and I will pay for your reports. Become a talking head and you will join the thousands begging to be in the MSM payroll.
Not a threat by any means. I counldnt threaten somone willing to go to Iran. Just a warning of what has happened to others.

I think that if I were your wife I'd tie you up somewhere and not let you go.

Your Email is probably right there, but I don*t see it, so do not want to put ssomething fairly long in the comments. Europe may be awakening to the seriousness of all this. Ind. German Business leader makes the point and thanks US and Bush.

Remarkable awakening..

Came to me via Naval Oficer friend retired. TG
