If you're fighting the good fight for "social justice," it doesn't matter to you what people do or why they are in the position they are in. If you're fighting the fight, you don't condemn poor people when they lash out against rich people. The UN sees such condemnation as similar to upbraiding a slave for turning to violence in his effort to be free. Their basis for this attitude is that the Palestinians are poor and the Israelis rich, and therefore the Israelis are the oppressors of the Palestinians.

So, on the left, it doesn't seem to matter what people do or why they do it. All that counts is the economic forces. These determine everything, including the veneer of "morality" which leads the unthinking perpetuator of the establishment - the ordinary man - to view the bombings as "wrong." The Marxist view that morality is merely an implement by which the economic power structure perpetuates itself is alive and well today.

Why believe this is the correct explanation of UN behavior? Because it fits with the fact that the UN is leftist, and because there is no other explanation.

In the UNSC the other day, and in the GA a few months ago, when a resolution calling on governments in the area to respect and protect Israeli children failed for lack of support. (The resolution's language mirrored a previously-passed resolution to protect Palestinian children.)
