Tweaking Allah's Nose
I knew it would happen eventually. I have finally brought the wrath of Allah down on my head:
Michael J. Totten: Even more far-fetched than [Roger L.] Simon. Professes to be a leftist who voted for Ralph Nader in the last election but who nevertheless does not like it very much when the mujahedeen kill Americans. If you had studied more before inventing your cover story, kufr, you would know that the proper leftist response to the murder of Americans by Muslims is delight at the fact that it makes Bush look bad.All I can say, Allah, is that I'm still waiting for that first paycheck from Ariel Sharon.

What a bunch of loons! Don't worry Michael, I've also been accused of being on the Mossad's payroll in a comments section.
Posted by: Jono at October 2, 2003 06:24 PMGee, you guy should lighten up. This Allah blog is the funniest thing online. And yes, it isn't supposed to be taken seriously.
Posted by: BigFire at October 2, 2003 08:41 PMI just one to promise you one thing -- You could never be more far-fetched than Simon. I mean... that's as far-fetched as it gets!
Posted by: Roger L. Simon at October 2, 2003 11:27 PMBig Fire,
Lighten up? Me? Yes, Allah's blog is indeed hilarious. It's the guys who seriously think I am on Israeli payroll who are loons. Follow the second link. They aren't kidding.
Posted by: Michael J. Totten at October 3, 2003 01:19 AMNo fair, Michael - how come you get to be a zionist dog and not me? I'm not Jewish, either, but was declared mensch by my high school Social Studies teacher - why do you get all the babes and bling bling? Or should that be schling schling?
Posted by: George at October 3, 2003 06:24 AMAllah is indeed funny.
"Get those fucking birds in the air."
I'm still giggling at that one.
Posted by: eric at October 3, 2003 06:55 AM"I'm still waiting for that first paycheck from Ariel Sharon."
Ariel Sharon, Horowitz, WSJ...same thing.
Posted by: Robert R. Wilken at October 3, 2003 12:41 PMDon't worry, the rumours about the VRWC are untrue. It doesn't pay any better, that is for sure.
Posted by: Scott Wickstein at October 3, 2003 11:25 PMDid you get paid by Frontpage.com, TCS and the Journal for your published articles, Michael? Normally that wouldn't be any of my business, but you did bring the topic of payment up.
Posted by: Tom at October 4, 2003 01:03 AMTom,
Yes I get paid for my work. Though I don't know what that has to do with the goofball on the Yahoo discussion board who sincerely believes I'm being paid to write a "Zionist" propaganda blog. No one pays me to blog. I do that for free. And no one pays me to think anything in particular, either. Certainly not Ariel Sharon.
Posted by: Michael J. Totten at October 4, 2003 01:20 AMThanks for clearing that up Michael.
Correct me if I'm wrong: You get paid for writing opinion pieces, which can be characterized as having a "Likudnik" slant (FWIW, I’m also a fan of Arik). You promote your writing through your blog, and some of your published articles have come directly from your blog. Your blog could thus be seen as an advertisement for your writing.
I'm not surprised that some dimwits would think that your opinions in this blog are influenced by what you think potential customers would want to read.
Personally, I think that there’s nothing unethical about your business model, and that the moonbat Moslems are jealous.
Posted by: Tom at October 4, 2003 02:40 AMTom,
Actually I am not at all a fan of Ariel Sharon. But I do understand why he was elected, and I strongly support Israel's right to defend itself.
Posted by: Michael J. Totten at October 4, 2003 10:44 AMMan, how do I get on that gravy train? I could use some Israeli loot.
