Suicide Bomber Targets Iraqi Gaza Protest

by Charles Chuman

The attack on Sunnis protesting the conflict in Gaza can only be understood through Iraqi sectarian violence. If that is not the explanation, I have no idea what to make of this.

Could be a reflex - big gathering, let's bomb it.

Naw, the bomber was hired by the Zionists.

I wonder if the average Arab, in any of their countries, hears about the daily rocket attacks by Hamas - or if it would matter?

Leo's theory is plausible- it sounds like this protest was not as well guarded as other targets, and I've heard reports that some of the suicide bombers use a bit of chemical courage before trying to get into paradise. It could be that he just didn't notice what they were doing. Or maybe he just didn't care.

I read somewhere that it was because Hamas are an Iranian proxy, and the demonstration was by Shia in support of Hamas. Recent Iranian adventures in Iraq have made both them and their proxies very very unpopular. Unpopular enough to murder these protesters anywhere.
